Our latest design sprint pointed us somewhere no prize wheel had gone before. Introducing a neon LED strip that runs the full perimeter of the wheel, so the entire wheel reads as one glowing outline. Turn it on in a dim room and every head turns.
What Makes It Different
Our White LED and Color LED wheels place lights on the wheel face, in the gaps between prize sections. This one moves the light to the outer edge and runs it as an unbroken line. You get a defined neon ring instead of individual points of light, and in a crowded room the difference is dramatic.
Color, brightness, and animation are all adjustable instantly from a remote or a phone app, so you can set it to your exact brand color for a trade show. One wheel can change its entire look between the daytime and evening halves of the same event, and your team can do it from across the booth.
The LED line is protected by 3D printed trim that locks the strip in place and shields it through setup, transport, and teardown. Prize wheels take a beating at live events, but we made sure that this one keeps glowing.
Why We Built It
We spent a lot of time studying what actually pulls people toward a wheel, and one finding kept surfacing: in dim or visually busy rooms, the wheels that won attention were the ones that read clearly from across the floor. Tech trade show exhibitors, game show producers, and arcade and entertainment venues all shared a similar vision: an activation that feels native to their world of screens, motion, and light. That is a specific look, and it deserved a wheel designed around it.
After several rounds of design, real prototypes, and real user testing, edge lighting emerged as the answer. Moving the light off the face and onto the rim turned the wheel into a single glowing outline, which is exactly the shape people were responding to.
Then we piloted it. The early results blew past our projections on crowd draw and dwell time. So here we are: full steam ahead!
Sizes, Stands, and Prize Sections
The Glowing Lighted Edge Prize Wheel comes in 36-inch and 48-inch diameters, on a floor stand, a floor stand with wheels for quick repositioning, or a wall mount.
Choose your prize section format:
- Permanent graphic wheel. Your design is printed directly on the wheel face, which frees you from triangular pizza-slice sections and unlocks continuous, edge-to-edge artwork. This is where our graphics team has the most room to play.
- Magnetic wheel with custom prize sections. A steel-backed face lets you swap printed sections between events in seconds. Extra sections are available as backups or for added variety.
- Magnetic wheel with insert-your-own sections. Change your prize copy whenever the promotion changes, with no reprint required.
Every format includes the full LED edge lighting.
One planning note: the wheel runs on AC power through the included 12V supply, so it needs an outlet. Confirm your booth or venue power early, and you are set.
