Company Shipping Policy Page / FAQ Section for shipping

When do you ship freight, and when do you ship Ground?

Freight shipping carriers must be used to ship prize wheels sizes 48" and larger due to the size and weight of the packaging. Prize Wheels smaller than 48" are shipped via FedEx.

Is express shipping available?

Yes, please call Spinning Designs for an express shipping quote if necessary. Express shipping is available for most products.

Can I use my shipper account?

While we will accept using a customer's FedEx or Freight account if absolutely necessary, it is not recommended. Our carriers and account representatives know our product and packaging. If a package arrives damaged we will file the claim. If your shipping account is used, any claims must be handled by account holder.

Spinning Designs told me my shipping transit time, is my shipment guaranteed to arrive in that time frame?

For shipments within the United States, the shipping carriers are typically very reliable with meeting standard transit deadlines. Ground shipping delays can happen. Upgrade to Express Shipping for guaranteed delivery (call Spinning Designs for a quote). All freight shipments are shipped with a "guaranteed by 5pm" delivery service. International shipments should always account for delays at customs while the product is cleared for import.

What does the freight shipping charge include? Are there any extra fees that are not included in what Spinning Designs charged me?

Spinning Designs will quote freight shipping for each order, which includes delivery to the door or loading dock of a business. Inside delivery is not included. Please let us know in advance if any of these apply as additional fees need to be charged and will not be able to add these services to the order on the delivery day: delivery to a residence, school or university, delivery to a trade show, delivery to a farm/estate/country club, liftgate is required, inside delivery (or to a specific floor/office) or if a delivery appointment is required.

Will I receive a tracking number when my order ships?

Yes, you will receive a tracking number on the day your product ships. If your order requires freight shipping, you will receive a request to confirm the ship-to address upon which time you will be given the Bill of Lading number and tracking information.

Do I have to be there to sign for my package from Spinning Designs?

All shipments valued over $500 require a signature for delivery.

What should I do if a package from Spinning Designs shows up damaged?

It is extremely important to inspect your order as soon as it's delivered. Everything that ships from our facility goes through intense quality control immediately before it ships, so if it arrives damaged then we have a very short window of time to file a claim with the shipping carrier. If you notice a problem:

*If the box is damaged and a signature is required NOTE THE DAMAGE ON THE DELIVERY RECEIPT BEFORE YOU SIGN.

  • Take pictures of the outside of every box, then the inside packaging, and finally the product that shows the damage. The more pictures, the better. Please email them to admin@spinningdesigns.com
  • If you believe a package is missing, please contact Spinning Designs right away.
  • It is important that you don't throw away any packaging until Spinning Designs confirms that the claim has closed and it's no longer needed.

Is International Shipping available?

Spinning Designs ships internationally. Every country's government implements different regulations, fees, duties and taxes associated with importing merchandise. Spinning Designs generates all customs documents and commercial invoices that the destination government requires for the product to clear. The customer is responsible for paying the duties and taxes incurred by their government's customs department to import. All customers should expect to be contacted directly from customs for payment once the merchandise is cleared into the country.

What's a customs broker and do I need one?

Customs brokers are required for freight shipments shipping to other countries, including Canada and Mexico. The customs brokerage company is assigned to receive the package once it arrives at the border, and guides it through the import process at customs, then clears it to allow the shipping carrier to complete delivery. This is not included in the shipping quote and must be coordinated directly between the customer and the customs broker.
